Professional Experience

Dan began his law enforcement career with the Kentucky State Police, where he advanced to become a Supervisory Forensic Polygraph Examiner. During his tenure, he earned a Master of Science degree from Eastern Kentucky University, sharpening both his technical and investigative expertise.

In 1982, Dan was recruited by the super-secret National Security Agency (NSA) as a counterintelligence polygraph examiner. In 1984 became the Senior Resident Agent for the Defense Investigative Service at the prestigious United States Naval Academy. His national reputation for excellence led to his recruitment by the U.S. Customs Service, where he became the first-ever Polygraph Program Director. There, he built a pioneering multilingual polygraph unit within the Customs Special Investigation Division, playing a crucial role during the height of America's war on drugs.

After retiring from federal service, Dan relocated to Florida, where he founded the Florida branch of Fact Finders Polygraph Services. Under his leadership, the branch became known for its integrity, innovation, and highly accurate testing standards.

Today, Dan is a cornerstone of Fact Finders Polygraph Services (Michigan), overseeing quality control procedures and consulting on operational matters across the organization. His primary responsibilities include the expert review of polygraph charts and ensuring the highest federal standards in examination integrity and accuracy.

A frequent lecturer to law enforcement and prosecutorial groups, Dan has also served as an adjunct instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. With over 25 years of instructional and field experience, he is widely regarded as one of the most respected polygraph examiners in the nation—a trusted name in polygraph circles and a vital asset to the Fact Finders team.
